Jarrett Leiker has been a lifelong practitioner of martial arts, starting at the age of three under the instruction of his mother and father, Jill and Bob Leiker. Throughout his career, Jarrett has competed in hundreds of tournaments around the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe. He is a 33-time NASKA, ISKA, WKA, WSKF, and NBL professional world champion and a 3-time SKIL amateur world champion. Jarrett holds world titles in point sparring, traditional weapons, creative weapons, musical weapons and traditional forms.


In 2005, Jarrett was diagnosed with spondylolisthesis, a degenerative spine disorder. After undergoing a nine hour spinal fusion, it was doubtful Jarrett would ever do martial arts again. Not to be shut out of his life long dreams, Jarrett worked through two years of strenuous rehab and returned to competition in 2007.  After returning from spinal surgery, Jarrett actively competed and captured wins in major sport martial arts competitions around the globe, and amassed dozens of overall grand championships wins and world titles. 

 

In October 2016, Jarrett retired from open competition and has since focused his efforts on coaching the next generation of martial artists.  Mr. Leiker's primary focus is elite kata athletes competing in olympic-level competition as well as open sport karate tournaments.  Mr. Leiker has coached over thirty of his own personal students to world championship victories in NASKA, WKA, WKC, WTKA, ISKA, & NBL as well as produced United States and Canadian National Team members that have produced numerous medals in the World Karate Federation (WKF)'s continental and K1 Championships.  Mr. Leiker is a pioneer of innovative coaching programs that combine online training methods that enable Mr. Leiker to reach his students across the globe.  

Mr. Leiker graduated in 2009 from Rockhurst University with the highest honors (Summa Cum Laude) earning degrees in History, Political Science and Business Administration.  Jarrett subsequently graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2013.
